Police seized gutka of worth Rs 10 lakh

The Tuni police in East Godavari district seized 50 bags of banned Gutka and Khaini packets worth of Rs 10 lakh on Thursday night.In this connection, they arrested four persons. The arrested are Tavva Suresh Kumar, Matam Durga Prasad, Subhodh Singh and Pradeep Kumar.
According to Tuni urban SI V Srinivas , the police on a tip off laid a trap and seized the stocks being transported from Odisha to Kathipudi, Gollaprolu and Pithapuram in East Godavari district.He four-wheeler used for transporting the banned goods was also seized, the police officer said.
