A 9-year-old girl was sexually assaulted allegedly by a 50-year-old man at Dachepalli in Guntur district. The incident has sparked violent protests and locals blocked the national highway for six hours near Dachepalli till early this morning.
The vehicles were stranded for 15 kilometres on the highway. They have set a deadline to cops till 3 pm for the arrest of the accused, who is missing. The accused was identified as a rickshaw puller. The girl was admitted to the government hospital with bleeding.
