Guntur politics are turning hot as elections are closing in, leaders are trying to shift their loyalties. Kanna has won five times and has good strength among Kapus. The leader has lost Guntur West Assembly seat in 2014.
The former Minister was depressed after BJP has failed to announce his name as AP BJP President and with the mounting pressure from his followers, Kanna has decided to join YSRCP. The day before his joining YSRCP, he was admitted in hospital with ill health. The leader is yet to join YSRCP.
