PRTU Teachers Dharna For AP SCS

A protest in several forms is being conducted in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh. Teachers coming under 'Progressive Recognized Teacher's Union' group have been staging a protest at Visakhapatnam and they demanded to fulfil all the promises made in State Division Act. They demanded Special Category Status(SCS) to the State for 10 years and wanted the early release of the funds meant for Polavaram project. They said Special Status is the rights of AP people. The Teachers have made it clear that they will intensify the stir if the demands are not fulfilled.
