TDP Mayor stages novel protest by riding donkey

In a novel protest, former Mayor and TDP leader Bangi Ananthaiah rode a donkey, while his followers sported Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s masks, and staged protest before the Kurnool Collectorate on Tuesday.
Mr. Ananthaiah demanded that the Union government grant special category status to A.P. and fulfil its post-bifurcation promises. The Centre should compensate the fiscal deficit and totally fund the cost of Polavaram project, he demanded. He flayed the Centre for ignoring the TDP MPs agitating in Parliament.
