Inaugration of Janmabhoomi 5th phase concluded

Vijayawada: The fifth phase of the government's prestigious Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme has begun in all the districts. Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao attended the programme at Gollapudi in Vijayawada Rural on Tuesday. He appealed to the rich people availing government's welfare schemes to voluntarily relinquish the benefits so that those in need can use it.

Speaking about the development works taken up at Gollapudi and its surroundings, he said about developing Pavitra Sangamam as a pilgrimage spot, constructing Ikon bridge at Koonaiahpalem. Pattiseema water was supplied to Gollapudi and Guntupalli fields and Rs 4.3 crore was spent for laying internal roads in Gollapudi, he said.

He distributed cheques of Rs 1 crore for Velugu groups. Later, he participated in a programme at Koonaiahpalem in Chandarlapadu mandal and Punadipadu of Kankipdu mandal. Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao participated in Janmabhoomi programme at 42, 44 divisions in Vijayawada.
